Welcome to Active Ennis Pool, located at Highfield Park in Ennis. Our establishment is a complete indoor health and fitness arena with White Flag accreditation, offering a range of pool and gym-based activities for individuals and clubs in Ennis and beyond.

We are proud to have received the National Quality Standard Accreditation in 2001, a recognition we have maintained consistently since then. This accreditation is based on the European Blue Flag for Beaches and is operated by Ireland Active. To ensure accessibility for all, we have various facilities and amenities tailored for individuals with disabilities. These include disabled toilets, designated parking spaces with our contact number displayed for assistance, lockers at wheelchair height, wheelchair-accessible gym equipment, a poolside hoist, wheelchair ramp to access the sauna and steam room, an emergency evacuation chair, a changing room hoist, a wheelchair-height counter at the reception desk, a wheelchair shower chair, and a wheelchair available at the reception if needed. Additionally, we have specialized equipment such as the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill and Motomed Machine, as well as aerobic classes tailored to immobile and disabled clients. Our reception desk also features an Audio Frequency Induction Loop System.

At Active Ennis Pool, we offer a wide range of wet and dry classes throughout the day, catering to all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced swimmer, our team of instructors, with their extensive experience, will guide you through the lessons. We also provide swimming lessons for schools under the Primary Aquatic Water Safety Programme accredited by Irish Water Safety, as well as intensive lessons during school holidays.

For those looking for a fun and energetic workout, our aqua aerobics classes are perfect. With an instructor on deck to demonstrate the moves and lively music to keep you motivated, these low-impact classes are suitable for all ages and swimming levels.

While we are currently not offering birthday parties, we usually provide fun-filled and great value children's birthday parties in a safe and healthy environment. Our party package includes invitations, swim time with inflatables, hot food, and a free return swim visit for the birthday child. A dedicated Party Coordinator ensures the safety and enjoyment of all children.

In addition to our pool and gym facilities, we have a large hall and meeting room available for hire at competitive rates, with discounts for long-term renters. These spaces are perfect for classes, meetings, and other events.

During school holidays, we offer a Kids Camp for 5-10 year olds, featuring a range of activities including swim lessons, pool time, aerobics, games, arts, and crafts. The camp runs on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with different time slots available.

Active Ennis Pool has a long-standing association with water safety, particularly with the Lifeguard Service. Many lifeguards who have guarded the beaches of Clare received their early training in our pool.
