"Came across House of Food by accident while on a day trip to Waterford. Had the most enjoyable experience here. Cosy establishment with a very friendly atmosphere, staff friendly and extremely accomodating and helpful. Food was absolutely fabulous, cleared the plate. Portions were spot on, a substantial meal to set one up for the day. Will definitely be returning if ever in Waterford again. Highly recommended."

"Really wanted to like this. I went with my mother. I ordered a slimmers she ordered a mini breakfast. The lady owner was lovely but very all over the place. There was no covid passport checks on us or others coming in and no sign in which I believe is illegal. No condiments on the table. A bucket with knifes and forks and 1 yes 1 napkin. Knifes and forks on a table already is not good hygiene. Talking about hygiene we were placed nearly on top of the open fridge which had desserts which were uncovered not on. Breakfast was disgusting slimmers was so so bad how this woman could serve it to the public I can't understand. It tasted like cardboard I had the bitter taste in my mouth sickly it was. Potatoes raw. Rashers looked like a hairdryer cooked them it's runny as hell. Mushrooms dehydrated. I would be embarrassed to serve this slop. This business won't survive if the cook can't call her a chef keeps dishing this slop out."
