"This bar themes itself as family friendly but this bars behaviour at the National ploughing championships was absolutely disgusting. I understand that this was partly there security’s fault but management obviously made a decision to tell the security to throw people out at a family event. This was very badly organised and hopefully the ploughing dosent be in Ratheniska next year so we can stay as far away from Ewings Bar."

"Had a reservation for a room. Arrived to being told they cancelled all rooms. Their email cancelling the room never reached me as it was in my spam mail. Had my mobile number so could have called me to make sure I knew it was cancelled. We drove from Dublin. Offered no assistance other than saying the room was cancelled. We found a great place to stay ourselves and had a wonderful trip but not thanks to Ewing's"

"Stayed here on Friday 11th March. Accommadation was basic nice and clean. Great welcome from Tara who not only greeted us showed us to our room but also looked after everyone in the bar that night she goes out of her way to ensure you are having a good time. She is an exceptional worker we thought she was the owner she worked so hard great dedication to her job her employer can be proud of the way this lady treats his customers."

"I am a bit disappointed. Sadly in the morning was nobody there to talk to. In the first room there was no toiletpaper and the toilet wasn't clean. We got another room without any discussion. The staff is very friendly and helpful by the way. In the new room (Room 14), there was no remote for the tv and it was not possible to start without. Also the shower head was that full of chalk, it was more like a high-pressure water blaster than a shower. I mean, I do not expect a 5 Star, but for 85 Euro it has to have a remote and a comfy shower. It would be fair, if the wouldn't charge the full price, for sure fix those things and keep it a bit more clean. And also booking.com says it has a free parking. It has not, it is not expensive with 3 Euro for 24 hours, but not included. It is sad, because they are so friendly and have a nice pub very close to the center. I am between two and three stars, let us see if they do something. Maybe I can change to three. Thanks and cheers Ray"
