"The gentleman who came to recover my vehicle in the evening unfortunately couldn’t bring me all the way home. He was very helpful and kind and helped me as best he could and said I could be brought home the next day during the daytime but would have to pay as my insurance only paid for local towing( crazy but that’s an issue that needs to be taken up with the insurance company!!!) So rang James Travers in the morning twice to find out if they would bring me home to Portarlington that day and give me a price as I was stranded in Kilkenny. They said they would get back to me and they didn’t bother. Rang them again and was told they’d get back with quote and again they didn’t bother. So I would say don’t bother with them ! Extremely poor customer service. Gave 2 rather than 1 star because the guy on call in the evening who initially came out bent over backwards to be helpful"

"They recovered my car and told me it would take around two weeks to get the work done which I was happy with. they told me the issues and I told them to just go ahead and fix it. It ended up taking 6 weeks to get my car fixed, they did not order the parts for the car for three weeks and it was not till I went in to find out what was taking so long that they did that. if they did not have the time or interest they should have said so and I would have done to another place. the work they did was good but 6 weeks to do it is a joke. it left me with no car for 6 weeks."

"My partner locked the keys in the boot of her car outside aldi and I was away working in dublin, panic struck as she was minding her grandson at the time, I rang James Travers and within no time he was out and had the car opened and they were back i to the car and emergency panic was over! Can’t thank or praise them enough"

"If you ever need to use this garage as a recovery service make sure you request the car to be dropped to your own residence. The reason I am giving this business 2 stars was because they came to recover our car within 30 minutes of calling. However, they held on to the car for just under 3 weeks instead of admitting they could not find any fault. Everyday we called we got the same response that they would call us back... This promise was never followed through with. 300 euro later no fault or significant work was done to the car."
