Doppio Café & Restaurant

"We had brunch on a busy Saturday morning for Doppio, but that did not affect the food, service or atmosphere. Our waitress was brilliant: knew the menu, made suggestions without being pushy and was pleasant throughout our meal. We had baked eggs and avocado eggs, one better than the next. With water, ginger beer, tea, coffee (cold and hot) and two desserts to share the bill came to just under €75. This was great value. My only, small, gripe was the banana bread. The waitress had pointed out that it was gluten free but I didn't think before ordering. The banana bread came slightly heated, with a dollop of fresh cream, but still had that dry, flat gluten-free taste and was very disappointing. The banoffi pie, however, was great, fresh and flavoursome. We left feeling like new women and promised ourselves to come back for dinner another time."

"Gorgeous food and wonderful service! My partner and I visited one evening for the first time a few weeks ago and were super impressed! We decided to try out seafood for our courses and were not let down at all. I had delicious lobster ravioli with large chargrilled prawns and my partner had vegetable stir fry with beautifully cooked monkfish. The cocktails were lovely as well (we got a great recommendation from the waiter for on these too) Great atmosphere and feels like a secret gem for folks looking for great food while escaping the busy town in the evening. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"I'm so glad, place like this appeared in Smithland! Has a bit of Dublin's popular spots' vibe into it. With fiancée we checked the evening menu. Excellent desserts and cocktails! Both, Steak and lobster & prawn ravioli as mains were delicious. Sides a bit too small but tasty. Service was just outstanding and so kind! Couldn't stop myself from peeking at the head Chef during our visit - he was full of passion for his work!"
