"The cowboys of the furniture business. Stay well away. Staff will say anything just to make a sale. Managers don’t have a clue and blame their staff instead of giving you an apology when a mistake is made. Bought a sofa on Saturday, was told there was only 1 in stock in the warehouse and it was ours. This model had not been put out on the floor yet, we saw it in another Harvey Norman so that’s how we knew about it. We told the salesperson that we would be moving in 2 to 3 weeks. We were told that’s no problem, come back any time to arrange delivery. Went back in yesterday to arrange delivery and noticed the model on the shop floor. When I queried this we were told that we would be waiting 6 weeks for our sofa to be delivered and that there was one other in stock that was sold to someone else on Tuesday… we purchased ours 3 days prior. We also queried that we were offered the model that was ordered in for the shop floor and was not yet put out on display. But to our suprise it was put on display anyway. This was the one we bought. No apology, just a manager on a power trip blaming HER staff. Unfortunately this is not how the role of a manager works, YOU are responsible for YOUR staff. I would however like to commend the lovely guy working in the tv department, I’m so sorry you lost out on a sale from us from the actions of the furniture department. We will NEVER step foot in the store again and will be advising all our family and friends to go elsewhere also. A big loss of money that could’ve gone towards the employment of more staff. But, unfortunately if this is how you run a business, it shouldn’t be open any longer. Thankfully there’s a lovely furniture shop down the road who were lovely to deal with and can sort us out with a sofa straight away."

"Diabolic after sales service. Bought new 55" in Nov for my elderly Dad, TV stopped working on Xmas Eve, no power. Logged call with HN got very little in way of solving my issue of buying a new €1300 that doesn't work. Wouldnt allow return it , they logged thier "repair" to call out ...... From Northern Ireland!!!! Have timeframe. Pathetic response to a loyal customer. After two weeks the repair company came & fitted a new board to the TV & left my 80 yr old parents to figure out how to get it set up again from a borrowed TV they had... Service was dispicable. I have definitely dropped €10k at HN over the years.... But you won't get another penny off me. A business is only as it's customer service. Sadly yours is Nil..."

"Was there on Sunday afternoon and was standing there 20 minutes waiting for a staff member to see me about buying a new phone. In the end I left as it seemed no closer to be served. No acknowledgment or anything from them. Some staff walking around doing very little and the sales staff seemed to take ages to process any sale before sending it over for payment. Staff need to be sharpened up."

"I had a good impression about Harvey Norman until last week when I bought a laptop worth 799 from their Waterford outlet. The salesman listed some extra add ins such as office suit license, antivirus software licenses and extended warranty (which I was okay with) but he didn't mention anything about a software installation charge of 70 euros to me, even after i asked him repeatedly to let me know the breakage of items i have paid. The whole package came in 1277 euros and I ended up being refunded just the extended warranty but nothing else since they informed me that its already activated. I use to only depend on Harvey Norman for all my electronic needs on the past but this incident was just alarmed for any future purchases. I won't recommend them anymore to anyone."
