The University of Galway / GMIT Sub Aqua Club is a highly innovative and dynamic institution based in the heart of Galway, Ireland. Our aim is to provide a world-class learning environment for students interested in discovering the underwater world. We are a joint venture between the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) and the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

Our club is housed at the Kingfisher Club, located within the bustling Sports Center on the NUIG campus, providing students with convenient and easy access to our facilities. Established in 1976, we have a long-standing reputation for excellence in training and certification in the world of diving.

Our courses are designed to cater to the needs of students at all levels, from beginners to seasoned divers. We offer a diverse range of programs, including recreational diving, technical diving and specialized diving.
