"I have been going to this cinema for years with great enjoyment , but after yesterday's experience I would be in no rush back. After buying the tickets in advavce to avoid queuing, but also I might add, not getting the screening I wanted as I was told one screen was broken but the website had not been updated. On arrival I was sent to the back of the queue and told I had to wait my turn like everyone else. When I got to the cashier I asked what was the point in buying tickets in advance and then having to queue with everyone who did not have tickets, I was informed by a staff member in front of everyone in the foyer that they the staff were sick of it too, new owners, new rules and told to send an email. The cinema seems to be in the middle of renovations at the moment and does not have a welcoming vibe to it right now. On a lighter note " Guardians of the galaxy Vol3 " is excellent and well worth watching.... just not in Arc Cinema Ennis."
"Tonight was the first time in five years I was in there . It was for a private function, brilliant fun!"
"Went in with two companions to see the critically reviewed classic “Cocaine Bear”(Elizabeth Banks take a bow, more power to you). Can’t complain price wise but mother of god you can’t swing a cat for leftover bits of food around the place from previous screenings. Wall to wall boxes of popcorn that were left behind from the last few screenings. Fine scent of drink on the seats and all. Well due a good scrub. Usually a fine spot and very friendly staff, but tis gone a bit downhill. Hands down worst experience I’ve had in there, and I was once assaulted in the staircase which should give you an indication of the scale of the matter."
"Seems like a great place to talk to friends, share tictoks and play on the phone the 6 times I have gone there. Sadly they play these loud movies and you have to raise your voice over them to be heard. 6 times over the course of a year, different times, different ages restrictions not once I have got to enjoy the movie. Staff come and talk to people then leaving and never return and 5 minutes late the groups are causes trouble."
"This cinema has been here since I was a kid, it's great to see it's still open. It's pretty much untouched since the '90s. I don't think it's dirty like some reviewers say, just needs a little TLC. I've been there a handful of times in the last year and every time I can see the staff try their best and have been helpful. Fair play! In terms of programming, there's something for everyone usually. Not a huge range of drinks/snacks but that's not a big deal, IMO. There are seat risers for young children. They have a Crazy Tuesday deal (entrance to any film for 6.50), which is great. Some reviewers need to calm down a bit. This place is effectively being run by a small team, who are just young people themselves. It's not a fancy cinema, it's a bit worn but much-loved by the people of Ennis. There's no senior management there to sort out petty arguments between clientele. Everyone should just cop on to themselves and everyone will have a nice time. Enjoy!"
