"Cancelled our booking on hotels.com just a week before travelling, with no explanation whatsoever, leaving us with no option but to book a hotel a few miles down the road which was more expensive and meant having to get taxis every day. Other reviews seem to suggest they do this regularly. Do NOT book this hotel."

"Guests running around the hallways until 4am, banging doors and floors. No staff available, everything in rooms was poorly maintained, carpets were dirty and beds very worn and uncomfortable. Strong smell of stale smoke in the room. Only guests seemed to be stag/hen parties."

"Basic enough for the price. Great location. They weren't serving any breakfast which was disappointing. Room was spacious enough. There was no soap in the dispenser in the bathroom. The bath looked old and worn away. The toilet was loose. The rooms could do with refurbishment."

"This hotel is atrocious, and has no customer service whatsoever. They have no way of remedying problems, and are impossible to contact. I checked in in the evening and when I got to my room there were no fresh towels, and the coffee/tea tray hadn't been cleaned. There were open packets of butter, used teabags, and a dirty cup sitting on the tray still. I looked further for a towel and found one hanging on a rail in the room, but when I went to put it in the bathroom I realised it was already wet - it was a used towel from the previous guest and no one had cleaned the room before my arrival. I went downstairs and asked for fresh towels and reception said they would bring some up. I waited 30 minutes before going back and he was in the bar having a beer. I asked again and he finally brought me some. When I used the toilet, I found that the flush was broken and I had to open the cistern to reconnect the mechanism so I could flush. The next morning I stopped at reception before I checked out and said I'd like to speak to a manager. I was given an email address to contact, sent them a message with a list of the bad treatment and condition of the room, and never heard back. I sent a second email 6 months later, and I was still ignored."

"A group of us stayed for one night for a Hen Party! The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The dinner was lovely, there was a good selection on the menu so everyone was able to get something they’d enjoy. The location of the hotel was ideal. We arrived early for check in so the receptionist was able to give us one room to leave all the bags in and again in the morning when we were waiting on our bus we were able to leave all our stuff (with 14 women there was loads of stuff) in the luggage room!"
