"I explained what I wanted in a fridge freezer when purchasing - my appliance was dictated by the space. I was promised excellent service. I paid €50 more than regular retail for the delivery/ install / removal of packaging within Cork City. Initially 'delivery' was included' but perhaps Wilton was too far for that or my appliance wasn't profitable enough at just €320. This appliance was in every other shop in Cork but I went with murphy's because they promised excellent service They arrived on a Friday afternoon in a whirlwind and installed the appliance without any introductions. They do this daily but I buy a fridge / freezer every 20 years. I didn't notice until after they left that the appliance was crooked (the fridge on top was inside the built in so that I couldn't move shelves and the freezer on the botton was 1-2 inches outside the built in). I called right away and was told 'if its still a problem on Monday - call us'. My recycling bin was full with the packaging. When a fridge isn’t perfectly level, oils will have a tough time trying to reach all the nooks and crannies inside the system. As a result, those parts will not stay well-lubricated, and in a worst-case scenario, they may even overheat! I called and called for over a week and they kept telling me the problem was the floor - not the appliance. They were unwilling to come out and help me with the crooked fridge freezer. Surely I am not the only person in history to have an uneven floor but they acted as though this was the first and only time they ever encountered this and I must live with this appliance until a solution was discovered. At last, mainly to end my calls, one man came to my house, again in a rush. He did the whole 'God made the floor uneven' dance and while I did move the appliance out so that I could adjust shelves, the thing is still lobsided. I must now get a handy man into help me move the fridge / freezer onto a shim so that the appliance is nolonger crooked. This is a '2 person job' and one Murphy's were paid to do. I've been mugged in the past and that was a more satisfying experience because in that case, I wasn't promised something I didn't get and pay more than I should have. Seek Appliances Elsewhere"
