"Went in to buy a pc monitor and printer. They had next to no stock, the guy serving us said we could buy the display model monitor and then after us waiting around for 15 mins told us they can't sell the display models. The carpark is a disaster- waiting 20 mins to get out after not being able to buy anything. Waste of time."
"Avoid avoid and avoid. Ordered a Soundbar for same day delivery. Went to the store 3 times to pick it up. Third time we arrived it wasn’t there again. Asked for a refund, they couldn’t process the refund as it was an online order. So unbelievably frustrating. Ella was lovely and of course it wasn’t her fault but I genuinely thought it was a joke the third time we arrived to pick it up and it still wasn’t there. We received an email to say it was ready for pick up prior to going up collect it so don’t trust the emails. An absolute joke. I will never ever purchase anything from DID. Stick to Harvey Norman’s turners cross, they’re brilliant in there"
"If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrendous experience. We ordered a fridge freezer on the 23rd of December as ours had stopped working. We were told it would arrive in store for collection on Wednesday the 28th of December. My husband rang the store at 3pm to check that it had arrived & was told yes. He finished work early, borrowed a van and got to the store at 4pm. After speaking to staff he was told there had been a mix up and the fridge freezer wasn’t in store, that the earliest it would be in store was Friday the 30th & that they would deliver it to our home first thing Friday morning. We have a 6 month old and a 2 year old so as you can imagine 10 days without a fridge is extremely difficult. Fast forward to today (Friday). My husband rang the store to check what time the fridge freezer would be delivered & was told it was on the way down from Dublin so it would be delivered around lunchtime. At 1pm we received an email that our order was ready for collection. I rang the store and was told we hadn’t paid for delivery. After speaking with Jack I was told the fridge freezer would be delivered in the evening as the delivery driver had already left with other orders and the driver would ring me 1 hour prior to delivery. I had received no call by 4.30 so my husband went to the shop to be told the fridge was still at the shop and the driver hadn’t come back and was finished for the day. The fridge was loaded into a staff member’s car and delivered to our house. They clearly had no intention of delivering the fridge today. I have worked in retail as a manager for nearly 20 years and whilst I understand mistakes can be made, the lack of communication between staff and to us, along with extremely unprofessional/poor customer service is unacceptable."
"Maria was AMAZING! I needed an electric hob. The system said one but it wasn't available bur Maria came back with another option, same price point and made the purchase exceptionally easy. To top it off, my 2year kicked off her shoes and sock and refused to cooperate, as 2year olds do from time to time. In stepped Maria to save the day. She helped me put her into the car while wheeling out the hob. 5 stars and amazing customer service!"
"I went to buy a freezer 17th November number: Indesit 252 OS1A25OH21 There was 1 on display at a cost of €449.66. I was told by a sales person that the product was not in stock and there was a problem with the delivery service. I asked if I could buy the one on display and was told no. I said that I could collect within a day. I asked to discuss the purchase with the Manger Vincent. I was waiting 15 minutes approx before Vincent appeared. Vincent was arrogant, rude and unhelpful and when I was talking to him Vincent said in a sarcastic manner “please continue to talk and I will just stand here”. He then said:” he would do me a big favour and shrink wrap the freezer and I could collect it as is at the same price” It is my believe that Vincent should not be in this position as he is not a people person and probably consider moving on to something more suitable to his manner. I was also in the market to purchase a 65” TV. Now I will go to Harvey Norman or PC World where the staff are more professional. I guess this is my last time going to DID Electric in Kinsale Road Cork."
