"My son attend the creche in September 2018. The owner Frances is something else. This year because of the COVID, the creche closed on the 12th March 2020, we have been charged full amount in the beginning of the month, we are left 11 days unattended for March. In 27 May, owner Frances informing the creche will be re-open on 29th June for essential workers, 20th July for non essential workers, so I emailed her back we are not going back in June, will be July, so few days later, Frances emailed me what date in July are we going back, so I said 20th July, then straight away I received an email with invoice, on the invoice, was charged from 29th June, and no credit was given for the 11 days (more than 400 Euro) in March because of the closure. I told her we are not going back to the creche because my partner lost his job during the pandemic, we cannot afford child care, I asked her can I have the deposit back, which was 200 Euro, no reply, after 5 emails requesting deposit, she emailed me back the following- "Please note our policy which is specified on the application form. One month’s notice is required when taking the child out of the centre or when making permanent changes to days of attendance - if a child leaves the centre within their first 12 months of attendance their deposit will be retained. If one months notice is not given the fee for that month is still applicable." So my understanding was you're not getting your money back no matter what. ALSO not only I am not getting my money back, I am now owing her money??? Some of the workers in this creche are amazing, my son loves Sarah, even after 3 months not attending the creche, he still tells me he misses Sarah, but the management is really beyond me, especially the owner. The only reason this place is still running is because it's in Ballincollig, and with the shortage of spaces available for childcare."

"I used this creche services a few years ago. We did an initial inspection of the premises and felt initially that is was a good service. However after a few months i grew suspicious of the operation that was being run. My kids were very young and were coming home crying most evening. My son then informed that he was being hit by another child and a regular basis. When i spoke the owner to address the issue, she informed me she was aware of this and would address it. What shocked me was the fact she was actually aware of this and did nothing until i called. I also arrived early one evening to find my younger son, an 8 month old baby sitting on the floor crying his eyes out while all the staff were sitting watching him as he cried. I removed from children from this creche as i knew they were deeply unhappy and it was the best moves i have ever made. I i find it amazing that this place in still in operation."
