Reviews
"Booked the trip - small bus get you from Ross castle to where the jaunting cart start. Then you get a boat back across the lake to Ross castle. Both the guy leading the horse and the boatman were excellent -very knowledgeable , friendly and funny with our 3 kids. Amazing view through the gap of Dunloe (1h30 jaunting cart)ans then the boat ride across the lake (1h30). A must if you are visiting Killarney"
"Absolutely amazing. The highlight of our trip to Ireland (the boat trip was followed by a horse drawn carriage ride back down through the gap of Dunloe). Our boat driver was a delight."
"Dux gives an excellent tour of the history and nature of the lake and island. He's also hilarious. The highlight of the trip."
"Very nice boat trip. Booked it to reach Lord Brandon's Cottage with a bike in order to cycle the Gap of Dunloe. Scenery on the way is fantastic, from open waters to calm river. The skipper/guide was supper funny and very knowledgeable, he was also fishing every now and then and even caught a trout! (sadly too small for us to share for lunch so it ended up back in the lake). Price with a bike was 25€, the trip took about an hour and a half (from the Reen Peer at Ross Castle to Lord Brandon's Cottage). There's a cafe with some food and drinks when you arrive (didn't try it, can't vouch for it)"
"What a fantastic experience! Thought I'd bought a trip across the lakes to Lord Brandon's Cottage to start our walk through the Gap but this was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Dux shared his vast experience of running the lake tours, his great knowledge of the area and made the whole trip feel like a few friends out for day out. 1.5 hours of amazing scenery and great company. Thanks."
