"Had starters and mains. I had Buffalo wings and Mushroom Risotto. Wings were slightly overcooked and a bit dry but tasted grand with the blue cheese sauce. Mushroom Risotto was fantastic, very tasty. My fiance had the Butternut Squash soup and Lamb Shank. Soup was amazing apparently and Lamb Shank was fall off the bone tender but was served with a lot of veg she didn't like, for you picky eaters. Overall, tasty grub and great staff."
"Great bar/restaurant went here twice over the Christmas while staying in Cork and I would definitely recommend. All the staff are lovely and very accommodating. The food was delicious and great portions sizes you definitely get great value for your money. I got the battered mushrooms to start and the salmon for main course."
"Friendly staff, were quick with service and taking our order. Food was quick out and presented and tasted amazing. Bit disappointed with how high the prices were for the starters, against the amount of food offered. Mains were pricey too at £30 & £25 off the specials board. But quality and taste were again amazing. For 3 of us eating starters and 4 eating mains, plus 4 drinks. Was over €144. Was our 1 off eating out with 2 courses."
"The Snug was a lovely place to have dinner. For the food I’d give a 4, as some of the dishes were very nice (the soup, the lamb) and at a fair price, but the risotto was plain and the rice wasn’t enough cooked. They have room for improvement there. However, I give 5 stars for the ambience (we really like the place) and the service, who were very nice and attentive to us."
"Stumbled across The Snug while staying down the road. Had the haddock 'fish of the day' and thought it was delicious. Washed it down with a couple of pints of the black stuff. Friendly staff and a generous menu means I would recommend this place to everyone."
