"The staff is losing its marbels with the way they talk and act with the costumers. If you are understaffed it's not my problem. I was never rude to anyone so don't give me attitude cus I have my problems too. If I decide to go back there and this happens again I'll be talking directly with Diana."
"I'd been living in Portmagee for some time back then. On our way to visit Cork for the very first time, me and a friend made sure to stop in Bantry. She'd been there before but not me. After a quick walk around town we decided to go inside this small restaurant. I couldn't tell you what made us enter that particular building - I suppose you could call it fate or chance, depending where you stand on that age-old question. It looked like many other places we'd been in before with nothing necessarily remarkable about it. We sat down near the window and a very nice lady came to greet us with a refreshing smile. That smile was important, specially after the last few years. Upon having realised we weren't hungry enough, both of us went for the soup of the day that just so happened to be broccoli. Who doesn't love broccoli? Soon enough we got what we asked for. I tasted it first, close to 7 months ago now, and I still remember the taste. It haunts me. I'd been in Ireland for a long time and come from a country built on connecting people through food; that soup took me back to my childhood home, to my family, to my country. There's no words to describe it. It wasn't just a broccoli soup: it was a friendly hug from a dear friend you hadn't seen in years; a kiss from a lover, a hot shower after getting caught in the cold rain. Being told everything will be ok in the end by that one person who means the most to you. It tasted like love, trust, understanding, empathy, longing. The Portuguese would call it 'saudade', the germans 'lebenslanger Schicksalschatz'. I was and still am a changed man, perhaps more religious than ever. Compliments to the chef. That soup stayed with me."
"Beautiful place for a bit to eat. Amazing food and very reasonable prices. Lovely staff. In the heartbeat of Bantry."
"Good food, big portions and very nice staff"
"Honestly the best curry I have had in a long time. Fresh, huge portions, great staff, what's not to like. We had half portions and I challenge anyone to finish the full portion. Roast looked lovely too."
