"The new owners took over before Christmas, and it was very sad that the previous owners had to close. I hope the new owners succeed. However, based on the Sunday meal I went for, I think they are struggling. The 1 star for food is, for me, managing to survive this unique culinary experience. The photos on Facebook / Google seem to have no relation to what is actually presented or what's on the menu. The menu includes some fabrication. I asked for roast beef, expecting roast potatoes and the usual veg. The beef arrived long after my guests were served, and it came with a huge dollop of sloppy, very lumpy mash potatoes, nothing else. The meat loaf came with the same sloppy stuff. The meat loaf tasted rough, maybe far too much smoked paprika was added. It ended up coming home for the dogs who loved it. The burger had a similar flavour. And, no, I didn't make a fuss or complain, I had other things on my mind, I couldn't be bothered and the lady was very nice telling us the plans for the restaurant. As said, I hope they succeed and their dreams come true. While we were there people came for takeaway so I suspect the easy takeout stuff like pizza is good, but for me, it will be a long long time before I go back, especially at the price we were charged. I note the other reviews seem good, so maybe we hit a very, very, very bad day."
