"I recently had an emergency situation with my dog and I cannot express enough gratitude for the team at Hurleys Veterinary Clinic, especially Richard. My dog needed an emergency operation and Richard was quick to act, saving my dog's life. He kept my dog for two weeks until he was fully recovered and it was clear how much he cared for my dog's well-being. Richard's expertise and dedication is truly remarkable. He is not cheap, but the care and attention he provided was worth every penny. He went above and beyond by frequently sending us updates, photos, and videos of our dog to keep our minds at ease during the recovery process. The entire team at Hurleys Veterinary Clinic was exceptional. They were all kind, caring, and professional. They made the entire process as smooth as possible and made my dogs recovery possible! I cannot recommend Hurleys Veterinary Clinic and Richard enough. Their commitment to their patients and their families is evident in everything they do. Thank you, Richard, for saving my dog's life and providing exceptional care."
"Richard Hurley is a rip off, I brought my cat down yesterday as she got attacked by a dog that was belong to a neighbour of mine, but she had passed at the back of the car before I got to the vets, but I still went in with her as he told me bring her, so went in he put her on the table glanced at her, and told me what I already knew, and charged me 150 euro. hes money mad, very very disappointed at this price will definitely not be going here again, and I wouldn't recommend him at all."
"Do not go here. Overpriced and definitely got bad vibes from the vet. It's all about easy money with this guy I was ripped off and he was rough with my pet."
"I had an AWFUL EXPERIENCE here with the vet Richard Hurley while on holidays in Tralee. Brought my 15 year old shih tzu here for a groom under sedation as he is so old and a regular groom is uncomfortable for him. My husband who was with my dog did say the vet was kind to the dog during the procedure. BUT he came back with the FIRST eye infection of his life. When I brought him in the following day for the vet to have a look he charged me! 40 euro consultation and 30 for meds. €70 in total. I was shocked at this charge given I am confident he got the infection from the procedure and I had paid him €130 approx the day before. I rang and asked him to meet me half way, that I would pay for the meds and could he reimburse me for the consultation. He refused. I said I would write a negative review. He then proceeded to text me a series of harassing texts calling me a blackmailer!!!!!! I asked him to stop. But he sent another aggressive text. I had to threaten to call the gardaí if he private messaged me again. So my advice is stay away. Having mentioned this situation to some locals, they were not shocked and nodded knowingly asking me what was I thinking bringing my 15 year old dog there. AND two weeks later my dogs eye is still not right. I have to go to my vet in Dublin. HORRIBLE experience for my dog. Be warned."
"Stay well away from this guy. He had our dog on expensive heart medication. And after he quoted me a price he then wanted more money on top of it, so I took our dog to another vet. They examined the dog and said she should not be on the medication. Richard hurley had a dog on medication it did not need. As the other reviewer said, this "vet" doesn't care about your pets. He cares about the money in your pocket"
