"Going to the Therapy Quaters is the best decision I've ever made, i worked with Karen for just over a year and I can't recommend her enough! EMDR has completely changed my life. I used to not be able to be in silence without having a panic attack, have constant negative thoughts about myself and didn't feel I had any purpose or value. My mental health completely controlled my life. I had struggled with self harm for 10 years. I couldn't see a life without it and gave up trying to stop. I had had 8 therapists and nothing seemed to help. I couldn't see a way out and excepted that this is just my life now. I now wouldn't dream of hurting myself. I look at my scars and mourn the girl that hated herself, rather than feeling the urge to do it again. If you had told me this a year ago there's no way I'd believe you! I'm now completely clean from self harm and would never dream of hurting myself again. I'm free from all my trauma! My head is quiet and calm, i no longer experience triggers, I enjoy being in silence and as weird as it is to say I love myself. This has only been possible due to EMDR. EMDR is hard, it takes a lot out of you and takes a lot of determination to get through but god it's worth it! I finished EMDR at 23 and now have the rest of my life to actually enjoy without the weight of my past. This is all thanks to the amazing work I did with Karen. "Karen is a wonderful therapist. I had my Hypno Gastric Band fitted today. I was a little bit sceptical but day 1 and I have only eaten very small but healthy amounts of food. I am not hungry and very positive. Over the past two weeks of sessions I have eaten less and not been hungry. I am so looking forward to being 'slimmer, healthier and fitter. As well as being a fabulous therapist (she also cured my daughter from her ridiculous fear of spiders) Karen is also a truly lovely human being. Cannot recommend The Therapy Quarters more highly"
