"It's basic, but the room was a clean and tidy ensuite. With a small bath and shower with a good supply of hot water. A kettle and a couple of sachets of tea, coffee, and milk are supplied. A reasonably comfortable double bed, a TV and electric wall heaters are provided. The rooms are either ground or 1st floor in two storey chalet like buildings. It's reasonably priced, so don't expect the Ritz, but it's good value for the money. The restaurant was shut when I visited, so no breakfast was available, although I was told it should soon be reopening. It's in walking distance to the city centre so not far from restaurants, cafés, shops and various attractions. The room I was in was at the rear overlooking the car park and the entrance. Despite the hotel site being on the corner junction of two busy roads, my room was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. All in all it was very good value and I enjoyed a comfortable night's stay."
"For a basic hotel this is great. Rooms warm and clean. Bed comfy. Even a kettle provided. Love the fact that you can turn on the bathroom heater before you shower. Car parking secure and cctv is obviously monitored. Staff lovely"
"Stayed here last night, was very disappointed. The bathroom was dirty, grime all over taps, shower and tiles. They bath plug hole was full of hairs. Carpet was dirty. Cracked light switch. 3am in morning, the fire alarms started going off in various rooms, nobody came to check what's happened. After about 30mins they finally went off. After handing the key in and telling the guy in reception, never got any apology or anything. Wouldn't stop here if it was free. If I could of got another room at another hotel, then I would of, but everywhere were booked up"
"Very poor quality, when I entered my room with an old fashioned punch key there was the core of an apple on the floor so room evidently hadn't been cleaned properly; bathroom was grimy - there was hair in the plughole from the last guest. Second door into the room (after main door that leads directly outside) wouldn't close properly and I had to put a chair up against it to keep it shut. I arrived late in the evening otherwise would have gone to another hotel (couldn't find another hotel). A lot of noise from the road which could be greatly reduced if the hotel invested in double glazing. It's very affordable but did not feel safe there travelling solo."
