"First rate work at a reasonable price. Friendly staff kept my son informed at all times. Only negative was that he had to wait an extra day to get his car back because an invoice hadn't been raised. Not good when he needs the car for out of office hours work. Having said that I would definitely use them again and continue to have faith in the two friends that recommended them"

"I cannot fault the efficiency, professionalism and workmanship of the staff at Alton Cars. After my vehicle was severely damaged, Alton Cars collected it the following day in order to carry out the necessary repairs. The staff were fantastic! I received regular updates from the manager on the progress of the repairs. On collection, my car was in immaculate condition. The repairs were carried out to the highest standard and I was thrilled to see my car looking as good as new! I can't thank the team enough and would highly recommend."

"My car was sent for insurance repair. The paint finish was very poor. This was deemed “insurance acceptable”. Very poor working ethic if you feel the quality suffices. Didn’t match the original finish. Car was cut and polished to rectify. Collecting a car and waiting for rectification work I find again unprofessional. Car is 8 year old so the original paint isn’t perfect. Also I was informed “we can’t match paint on one side of a car to match the other”. I wouldn’t personally use this shop for any work on any of my vehicles. Cover clips missing from both rear lights even though only one was replaced. "My insurer sent me to Alton when someone ran in to the back of my car. They fixed my rear bumper fine, no issues. A recovery truck reversed into the front of my car on Alton's yard. Since that point it has taken 6 and a half weeks and 3 attempts to fix. I had to collect my car from Alton as a favour while they got in touch with the recovery company to sort insurance. I was driving my damaged car for a number of days. Alton returned my car with a deep scratch that was painted over and a new paint chip on the opposite side of the front bumper. This was returned to me with paperwork signing off the repair. At final collection I had to return my car again as the daytime running light and indicator bulb were out. The car is only 5 months old and 1 month of that has been spent with Alton. All lights were working when it was sent to Alton. Head office have compensated me but were not prepared to negotiate to provide a reasonable amount. It was a very unsatisfactory end to this saga. While the staff at the branch want to help the workshop is lacking basic quality control."
