"Wickes is handy for me as is quite close but I always come away slightly disappointed. Never much choice and the last visit didn't have any trolleys! But I did find several in the store being used to display stuff for sale!! Handy but disappointing"
"Initial consultation was great, and good front end customer service. However, now we've gone through the process of fitting a new bathroom once, we realise that there's a lot of redundant pricing and will look to manage future projects on our own. It's little things like the poor quality of the rimless toilet not flushing to the front of the pan, lack of expectation management for deliveries, and then last minute stress and panic trying to get Wickes to do what you're paying a lot of money for them to do. Some staff seem to want to palm you off with phone numbers whenever there was a problem, however I will say that Dan was extremely helpful and well-mannered whenever I spoke to him. A real saving grace here is that the fitters and tiling expert they provided were nice chaps, communicative and able to respond to there-and-then challenges as they arose. I will review them separately. Don't be fooled by millimeter perfect CAD drawings in the showroom, as they do not reflect what the fitters have to face on the shop floor. Far from a managed project, and more ad hoc than I was expecting, hence I take the view that self-management is the way forward. All-in-all our bathroom looks wonderful, but to say that is predominantly down to Wickes would be an overstatement."
"Not bad store with easy parking, they didn't have the product I wanted on shelf and couldn't get new ones from the back of store as not booked in. Rang up 2 hours later same story even though it said online they had one in store. Lesson learned ring up first to check !"
"Had kitchen fitted in late 2020 which began to fall apart in 2021. Despite being under warranty, customer service just couldn't care less. It's all 'it's being looked into' or 'someone will phone you back' but no one ever does. Its been over a year of me continually phoning and sending emails and I've been ignored, fobbed off and lied to on an alarmingly regular basis. The second they have your money, that's it, you're on your own despite what the warranty may say."
