"A very welcome open space and gardens tucked away in one corner of Reading town centre. The place is inviting and well looked after. Unfortunately there’s no public car park at the site but a short distance away."
"Forbury Gardens is a delightful Victorian town garden. The gardens have a wall around which provides a peaceful atmosphere, it has the famous Mai wand lion statue, the gardens are wonderful for play , and the kiosk serves coffee, ice creams and light lunches."
"Fantastic park! Beautiful and we maintained. Quiet during weekdays and lively place to spend the evening with kids, family and dogs. Also close to high street and train station. Must visit !!"
"Old school Victorian municipal Park. No children's play equipment but there is a bandstand and of course the splendid Maiwand lion. You may find well kept flower beds. There are benches in and out of the shade plus plenty of grass to sit on. Great place to sit and contemplate life away from the bustle of the centre of Reading."
"A quiet and beautiful park. Sunshine plus blue sky. It was a very enjoyable moment for me when I got there. The park gives access to the Reading Abbey Ruins. See how it feels when you immerse yourself in a place of long history. Highly recommended."
