"Really great new development at Palmer Park. Plenty of free car parking close to the building and what a great range of facilities. Soft play for the kids and a decent sized swimming pool. Cafe and gym for the adults. Spacious, light and clean with good service from the staff. A good place to visit especially when it’s wet and cold outside."

"We are so lucky to have Palmer Park facility in Reading. It is recently refurbished. We use it for our children's athletics training. It has a 400m running track, a velodrome and a 25m swimming pool. It's disappointing that after refurbishing the car park, there is still not enough parking."

"Very luxurious finish to the vast extension to the original premises. Massive gym and spinning room adjoining. If the pool is closed when you attend, you might have the curiosity of the underwater 'robot' vacuum cleaner wandering around the bottom of the pool. Net result is lower chlorine levels than normal."

"Cannot comment on anything other than booking, parking, soft play and the cafe as I have not used any of the other facilities. Booking a soft play session was very easy on the website, however I do feel prices for non members was quite steep considering there is a 60 minute time limit. Parking was atrocious, as in there was really and truly no where to park. We were late by 20 minutes due to driving around the car park, which I found small and poorly laid out. However I did see lots of easily accessible disable and electric charge spaces. It is also free to park for 3 hours so that is a massive bonus. I do feel the car park should be bigger for a newly refurbished centre with a park and so many faciliteies. Soft play it's self was lovely and clean as should be expected considering it is so new. There is lots to do for the little people which is lovely, but I do think maybe children above 9 or 10 may become bored. Lovely musical piano on the floor, smaller area for the toddlers. A few tables and lots of chairs. It's seemed the floor was a bit slippery again maybe because new but definitely something to watch out for. Cafe had a normal cafe selection and to be honest I thought decently priced. Would go again, but will definitely leave even earlier to find parking."

"So my first trip to the new centre to visit the pool. I was very impressed. Very friendly and helpful at front desk, clean changing rooms, nice pool, somewhere to dry swimwear, showers the right temperature. If I was to give some feedback it would be that it's not clear where you want us to park motorbikes, and pool staff could probably be a bit better at making sure people stick to the right lanes eg slow people not in medium/fast lanes. But overall really good, well done!"
