"My niece has none stop received bullying from her piers & also the teachers! she suffers with adhd and learning difficulties and i’m absolutely appalled by the way all of them treat her , Paulet is the way to go! This is school is a toxic and nasty environment"
"Mrs o'learly seems in a lot brighter mood recently the school is making efforts to make it a much nicer place and it isn't as grim anymore but still a lot to improve. Teachers need more enthusiasm when delivering lesson to make sure they are delivered in an engaging way. The way you deal with managing 'bad' behavior needs to be improved. The school is visibly trying, especially with the wellbeing thing although it kind of seems like a joke with the wellbeing check ups because it's seems so ineffective to interview every single student in school and expect them to tell you what's wrong and what's bothering them"
"This school doesnt let students express themselves, forces them to be miserable by taking the thing they like as well as making them insecure and having bad standards, poor teaching most of the years full of bad sub teachers that dont know what they are doing therefore wasting our learning. Don't trust them with information that are personal because they always seem to tell your parents ( even when you didnt want them to ) as if thats necessary and push you to go into mental health online classes that dont do anything and ask general questions that anyone would ask you, better off talking to your friends, seem to tell different teachers to go to talk to you about the issues when you only specifically told them not the teacher trying to interview you. Horrible handling with students mental health issues, bullying, slander and threats."
"Having had two children both educated here for 7 years, both achieving fantastic grades in all of their GCSE and A level subjects, I can only praise the school from a parental perspective. Staff are all caring and will do their utmost to support a child through their education and teenage years."
"Ok so lets start at the beginning. It was suggested that I write a review and I am a teacher at the school, so that means I am biased or informed, I will let you judge. I started at the school almost 2 years ago after doing supply at several schools in the area to find a new employer. I decided that the school was good because of the family atmosphere and strong values (I am not religious). I decided to do supply at the school because when I arrived a pupil rushed out the door in front of me, stopped, apologised and ran back to hold the door for me. I have no idea who this student was but first impressions count. It was suggested I write a review because of the other negative views that have been posted, but to to be honest there are other reviews at similar schools that also talk about very negative subjects. All I would say to these is that in many cases this is just a disgruntled individual who wants to say something in the heat of the moment. Indeed look how many of the reviewers only have one or two reviews. I have been a teacher for nearly twenty years and have worked in several schools and in my experience one of the best indicators of a good school is a school where staff are willing to send their own children. There are many staff at Robert Sutton that have or have had children in the school; I would also be willing to send my own children to the school when they are old enough, and to me as a parent I would say that is one of the highest recommendations. Why haven’t I rated the school 5 stars? That’s because it is not perfect yet, but it is on a journey under the new leadership team under the Ralph Sherwin academy chain. It is a better school today than it was at the start of term and a much better school than it was when joining the trust in September 2018. I am sure it will be even better next year. The reason the school is so great is the wonderful pupils. I would like to finish by thanking them."
