"Visited 8th Feb '23 to book an air ticket to a family funeral. Hays would not accept a credit card payment saying cash or a direct bank transfer only. That would deprive me of my protection given by the Consumer Credit Act. I walked away and will never go back there. Not recommended. Afterwards I phoned the airline and was able to book on the phone at the same price quoted by Hay's Travel. Paid by credit card. No issues. What is really odd is that almost all reviews here are glowing 5 stars, while on Trustpilot almost all reviews are 1 star and very critical of Hays. So who is telling porkies to game the system? Would be useful to identify if any of these reviews are planted by Hays employees, relatives or friends."
