"Stunning private garden with an amazing assortment of flowers, trees, fruit (apples and rhubarb etc.), vegetables. The gravel path meanders around the gardens and takes a good hour. There's a tea shop, gift shop and toilets at the entrance. Lots of free parking. Due to COVID-19, we had to book and pay for tickets online."
"A very nice place to visit. The gardens are great and not too large and therefore make's for a great visit. Small shop and a good cafe with excellent food, not a large choice but that is good because they concentrate on quality. Be aware that if you are a NT member you still have to pay for the car park"
"Looking for something to do on Good Friday, I decided to give West Green House Gardens a go as I live near the area (it was a choice between The Vyne and West Green). I would normally have attended with my partner but as she was working I went on my own, but my goodness she would have loved it (she is a gardener)! The weather was beautiful which made the whole experience rather sublime, walk around the gardens and relish in the beauty, take in the smells and enjoy how peaceful it is at the top of the garden. Staff were friendly, cafe is good with a nice selection cakes, and food. I enjoyed Persian Honey & Rose Water cake. Would highly recommend! Just a note that you will have to pay for parking, even if you are a National Trust member, but understandable for the upkeep of the stunning gardens and the operas that are put on show! Will definitely be visiting again with my partner soon to enjoy the garden in bloom!"
"Really beautiful and very lovingly maintained garden. One can really tell that the people working here are dedicated and enjoy what they do. There's a £5 parking charge (or was it £4.50, I forget) which applies whether one is a NT member or not and I think it is thoroughly worth it! Toilets are clean and the canteen is well laid out, if a little under-staffed...and the food, although still not my favourite, was much, much better than at NT Sheffield Park. Definitely coming back as the seasons progress."
"Very nice gardens and walks with many features to see. The gardens are free if you have a National Trust membership, otherwise there is an entry fee (£9 adults, £5 children) as well as car parking charges (£4). We didn't get the chance to explore all the gardens because some parts are closed off for the Christmas lights walks, but there were very pretty lights and ornaments scattered all around the grounds. It would be a good couple of hours well spent if they were all open. There is a no picnics sign for the gardens, so don't expect to sit down and easy your own food! The shop, coffee shop and market (in the greenhouses) are all very good, and if you are lucky enough you might bump into the owner of the house - she is a great character!"
