"I have taken my adult students a couple of times and they always love it. There is now a great exhibition about women history makers. I met the artist by chance before going in and we were all very impressed. Well done."
"My son asked specifically to see the mummies but was completely blown away by the natural history hall. Full of fantastic fossils. Amazing museum in derby, would definitely recommend."
"The museum is beautiful. It has ground floor and 2 other floors, it also has a lift. There was no tour guide. However, you could move around freely and see all that is there. I liked it."
"Have been coming here as a child and now regularly bring my own kids. Seemed to have more exhibitions when I was younger as I recall a space area and one with animals and plants. Nevertheless kids love it. Perfect for a budget day out."
"Last time I went here I was at school.. many years ago, this place has changed drastically and is far better for it. Firstly it's free, so there's really no reason not to go, even if you don't like it you've not lost anything. The museum staff are very helpful, friendly and approachable, they're happy to help and advise not only on the museum but other interesting places to visit in Derby. The displays are modern and interesting with some items in the open and others with signs encouraging interaction. The room displaying the history of Derby is in all honesty amazing, who would of thought that all those objects were found in the city....makes you wonder what else is buried under our feet. There's also objects from across the globe including the Americas, Egypt, South Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Asia and the Far East. There's also a world class collection of paintings by Derby's Joseph Wright. Absolutely superb, definitely worth visiting."
