"Food was astounding. The atmosphere and decor was so damn pretty. Server was chatty, and lovely to talk to and clearly knew the dishes well. It was the perfect excuse to dress up smart in a 3 piece and enjoy the company of my bestie. We will both be back, thank you!"
"We were a group of 5 back on a quiet evening in April. Some good things. Firstly the food was pretty good. It's well presented and tasted good. The negatives however will prevent any of us from attending again. I arrived at 6:50pm with a table booked at 7pm, and went straight to the bar. Barmen were both too busy to acknowledge me, it took a few minutes and I was asked to wait. So I went and sat down in front of the bar and 10 minutes later still no one had asked me for a drink and had moved on to other orders. We were eventually sat down at 7pm and we were asked for drinks at 7:20pm. We ended up getting our drinks at 7:40pm. This is already very, very slack service at what was an dead Tuesday evening. We ended up getting food closer to 8pm. One of our party actually went up to a waiter and attempted to drop a hint with regards to the timing of the night "we're a bit concerned we might hit the 2 hour limit" to which the waiter rather than take the hint and speed up, replied that "oh no worries, it's dead just take your time". As we were sat waiting the staff looked extremely relaxed. 3 of them just stood next the front of the seating area chatting. Just no urgency at all. I know for your staff this was a relaxed shift but for us we were here socially and it was a work night. We are in for relaxed but efficient service. This was not it. You do need to respect people's time and your staff need training."
"We escaped the Heat of the Derby High Street, for the cool and sumptuous Art decco dining room of the Cosy club. The food was delicious with super service. We were immediately seated and served with a cold jug of water. We both ordered mains and drinks and were not disappointed with the quality of food and would definitely visit again."
"Came here for brunch on a recommendation of my friend and so glad I went. The restaurant is on the 1st floor, but there is a lift in case you can't manage stairs. It brings you out to lovely bar and seating area which leads you through to the restaurant. We were served by Craig who was very chatty and friendly. The restaurant is very art deco looking and beautiful. I had the classic breakfast which was probably the nicest breakfast I've every had. The rostis were a particular highlight. If I'm in Derby again I will definitely visit."
"Quite nice. The staff are lovely- very friendly and presentable, they make you feel good. Think I made a bad choice about the food; salmon salad- the salmon was cold and separated on top. The mango in the salad was too much of a variation with me. I’m sure those with a more refined pallet may find this enjoyable. The bread starter was nice- plenty of it. My other half had the halloumi starter and then a meat free burger. Lager (Estrella) was tasty. This is a massive place, it looks pretty and it looks good for groups- there were two groups already in there when we got there. I’ll come back, with a different choice on the menu."
