"The walkway to the rear carpark is a nightmare as the pavement slopes away from the building, encouraging the trolleys to try to turn, and it's very difficult to keep a loaded trolley in a straight line. The quality of the fruit and vegetables (which are now about the same price as Asda or Morrison) is often very suspect. In the last three weeks we have thrown away a bag of patatoes, two heads of broccoli, and a cauliflower. It's not worth driving back to complain about £1:20 or whatever worth of stuff. The satsumas seem to normally have one squashed or inedible in most nets. I shopped there last Friday. The self service tills are long gone, there was only one checkout open, and a queue of about ten people. There seems to be no regularity of supply. Just when you start to rely on a product, it vanishes. This applies to frozen produce as well. Having said all that, the store is bright, normally untidy though, with stock blocking the aisles, the staff are mostly cheerful, and overall their prices are very competitive, although they and Aldi are apparently the two companies that have increased their prices the most. The store does seem to have lost its way a bit, it's a nice place to shop, but doesn't feel welcoming, and in my opinion does not give the impression of giving great value, even when it is. No idea of the numbers, but it doesn't ever seem particularly busy. I"
"Great value and helpful staff! So many amazing looking pastries and things great selection and easy parking"
"Been to this new lidles twice now amazing the first time I went there unfortunately second time I went it was all good until I realised two food I bought where out of date use by date was the 16th January I went to lidles on the 18th January. I would check your date if food before buying"
"Since the "renovation" it's gone downhill. No staff, no self scan checkouts, so the queues are all the way to the back of the store. Complained to Lidl customer service that the design of the store clearly isn't working and they simply told me "sorry the stores team let you down". No it's not the teams fault they designed the store poorly, I was also told my feedback could not be passed on to the design team. I've given up on this store now."
"Disappointed with this Lidl, staff were no where to be seen on the shop floor, a lot of shelves were empty, some produce was only just in date, lots of empty boxes on shelves and floor, lots of products in wrong places. Didn't buy any fresh produce as a lot looked past its best. Only 2 checkouts open, long queues, when I was next in line to start putting stuff on the checkout, the till closed sign was put up before the person in front had even finished putting their things on, so I went to the other line, again got to be the next person in queue waiting to put items on conveyer belt, and the announcement that, that till was closing and to go to the original one went out, and the checkout assistant told us all to move over! So once again, got in another queue! There are not a lot of disabled bays, I managed to get a bay outside argos, luckily as I had to go to Argos first. The staff in argos were by far the friendliest and most helpful, between them and lidl next door."
