"My cars alternator broke called RAC they told me it needs replacing. Called around different garages and every one was busy and couldn't fit my car in for next day. RAC called DAE and was told over phone they can fix it next day. RAC mechanic checked alternator prices online and told me it shouldn't be more then £300 which I thought isn't a bad price so I took my car there. On arrival they took key and wrote on the sheet needs alternator changing and asked him to change the belt as well which he put down in notes. Next day received quotation by txt which was £670. I called different garages and I got quote £211 so I decided to take my car there. When I got there to get my car, DAE charged me £36 for half-hour labour on diagnostic, which I never asked them to do and they never mentioned there will be any diagnostic charges. I had to pay to get my car out of there. I feel I have been robed when the diagnostic were already done and he wrote on paper it needs new alternator. £36 isn't going to make me poor and definitely not going to make them rich but customer service is at lowest level in this place. Never take your car here ever again."

"Took my car with dead alternator and needing cam belt change. Had been quoted several week wait elsewhere. DAE sorted me out efficiently and with good humour. Left the car with no battery power and advised would be booked for Friday and was sorted by Tuesday. Excellent service."
"Had a call told my work was all done then went to pick it up and it wasn't done and was needing more work. Then once more work had been done I was called and given the price phone as I asked how much would be to pay when I pick the car up. When picking the car up the price was a lot more coming as a shock. I asked why, and was then met with the manger getting up and shouting at me and also threatened with violence towards myself. Also the manger said he was going to rip the part out my car. I didn't feel safe as very out numbered and wanted to pay and get out the communication is very poor the customer service is non-existent."
