"Unlike EVERY other garage I have ever dealt with this lot have decided it's acceptable to charge an MOT retest fee if you don't leave the vehicle with them for overpriced work...... Whilst this is unfortunately legal I was NOT warned when booking & certainly would not have booked with them on principle had they warned me of this little scam! Although I suppose what else should one expect from Halfrauds?"
"I did a full service to my car apart from the pollen (cabin) filter as one of the bolts holding the cover underneath the glovebox was stuck and had no access getting to the filter. Halfords has been very helpful and fixed the problem and replaced the filter for me :)"
"Booked appointment to get child seat fitted. Waited ages for harassed guy who unboxed it, clicked it together and and put it on seat and threaded seatbelt through it. Didn't bother with the isofix safety connectors. The really important part. I just left and went home and did it myself. It wasn't his fault he was the only fitter in and there was a queue of 6/7 people following me!"
"Apparently booking for 11.30am is just a drop off time, and the “expect to leave your car with us for 1-2 hours” on the confirmation email isn’t the case and it could be up to 6pm for it to be actually ready. This place isn’t exactly close to town or even a bus service to get there and back, so a heads up would have been nice, because there’s only so much time you can sit in Costa waiting. And trying to get hold of customer service for a refund because you’ve been charged twice for this is pretty much impossible. Never again."
