"A complete waste of time. When they learnt that I already had a successful product that made half its cost back, they encouraged me to apply for a loan. The paperwork was incredibly time consuming and they turned it down. I wonder what their qualifications are and if any of them have ever done anything useful, i.e. run a business."
"I found them to be excellent from start to finish. With highly professional and helpful staff to assist you through the process. If you need to raise capital for your business I'd highly recommend checking them out ."
"I found applying quite a waste of time. They ask for more paperwork and details than any other bank I came across, only to have stricter criteria. We spent around 10 hours preparing our application for what we came to find it was an extremely quick assessment. By the "success stories" on they website and their overall branding I thought they were going to be a little more supporting. If I was to go back in time, I would have gone straight to my bank/ credit union."
"It used to be great a few years back but then they have changed. I have applied with them within a few weeks after it started lending. It was spot on. I went to Jefferson House and in a matter of hours i was approved. I managed to get a top up 5k a few months later. But then they outsourced the paperwork verification and accountants not connected with the Microfinance Ireland were checking your application. I applied for 20k in 2018. A new cleaning company that was doing very well but it was very hard to get paid. It was a nightmare dealing with them. A young accountant checked every single recepit, every transaction, questioning everything. Two weeks in to the process we gave up. It was more strict than applying for a mortgage. Two weeks of paperwork and emails. Then the dude that was processing my application was encurage me to sell my equipment to finance my business So we gave up It has no more reason to exist. It started well and it had great potential but right now you will only be approved if you are doing very very well and you have savings. The banks are more flexible and cheaper"
