"I was looking for a quality watch for my son for Christmas, something robust and reliable which will last. I knew Dipples was a local independent jewellers with a good selection of brands at different price points, and there were several models in the extensive window display which looked promising. I took my son in and we were served by John and the experience could not have been better. I explained the type of watch we were looking for, and he invited us to take a seat while he selected a number of watches for us to view. Being able to handle and try-on the watches was great, and John explained all the features in great detail and the advantages of the various movements. We had been looking at watches online and already had an idea about what we might choose, but that changed as a result of John’s advice and seeing and feeling the quality of the watches for ourselves. John was clearly an expert and not a salesman, and I had absolute confidence that his advice was genuine. There was no sales pressure and certainly no encouragement to extend my budget. My budget was relatively modest but we were treated as if we were buying a Rolex! The watch we settled on was competitively priced, came with a six year guarantee and the confidence you get when dealing with a local and trusted specialist. I consider our visit to have been one of the best purchase experiences I have ever had, and would recommend Dipples unreservedly."
