"We recently had the misfortune of having a damaged engagement ring I purchased 3 years ago from H Samuel. On the first visit we were met by the wonderful Shellie who showed real empathy and spoke about our options going forward (the ring was insured separately, but we decided to send it away with H Samuel for an estimated repair cost). We had to attend the store on a further 4 or 5 occasions (only ever down to our uncertainty on what to do) and on all but one occasion Shellie was working. Shellie remembered every detail, she genuinely remembered more about previous visits than us (they were over approximately 4 months). The service has been top notch and Shellie really deserves all the praise in the world for handling our situation the way she has. On the one occasion that Shellie wasn't working we spoke to Claire who had been briefed by Shellie about our situation and again wowed us with her knowledge of what was happening. Shellie is without a shadow of a doubt the most approachable, friendly, helpful and personal person I have ever dealt with in a business. Shellie is the reason why I will now be making future purchases (soon to buying wedding bands) with H Samuel instead of looking elsewhere. Shellie is a human Diamond in a shop full of actual diamonds and I would love it if you could please pass on our comments to her superiors. Dave and Caitlin"

"Came in at lunch time on Wednesday to get my daughters ears pierced, the staff were all busy helping other customers, but as soon as I asked for help they couldn’t have been more helpful. Lots of customers just browsing. Nice to see sales people not being overly pushing and allow people time to look uninterrupted. Thank you"

"TLDR: Came in after work excited to buy my mother a couple earrings and left with earrings I didn't really want due to being ignored and rushed. Came in after work during the week so around 2:45pm and it was a little busy so walked in slowly and when a man had finished assisting someone he went straight to a couple behind me, probably because I look young for my age so probably not worth his time. I stood at a counter feeling like an idiot for 10 minutes waiting to be assisted even after walking around for a few minutes before I decided to patiently wait. A woman eventually asked if I was ok so I asked about some earrings and she didn't seem bothered to check them, then I asked where the gold earrings were and she showed them to me and I kept her there by asking for some earrings I spotted straight away as I knew I'd be left again and would never get served, only when I chose the earrings did she seem interested in having a conversation with me. Felt very disappointed with this shop experience and won't be shopping here again, and will discourage others I know too as no-one should be ignored and spoken to like I was."
