"Beware of sneaky charges! Here's what happened: - 13th August Goods consigned to us arrive to IPS. - 22nd August IPS contact us via Phone to inform us that goods have arrived and request us to post them a commercial invoice, original bill of lading and packing list, which we duly did. - 23rd August IPS inform us that our goods are now past the 7 days free storage and that we will be charged €7.50 per tonne per day for storage. -When questioned why they didn't inform us earlier about goods landing in Dublin, they said that the shipper didn't give them a phone number or e-mail address for us. We asked why they didn't post us the Notice of Arrival in the absence of a phone number or email address, to which they replied "they are a paperless office" and "don't post anything these days". On the 23rd, I asked them to waive the storage fees as we were not informed that the goods had arrived and had no way of knowing the goods were with them, they refused to do this and were insisted on charging us storage fees until the 28th as they "probably won't be collected until then"! We are an experienced Import/Export business and have never come across anything like this before in Irish shipping !!!AVOID!!!!!"
