"DO NOT GO HERE for a private smear test. Absolutely appalling. Just rang them to book a smear and was given a date in April notwithstanding a smear is to be done on certain dates of a cycle. The person on the phone was so rude! And when I mentioned to her that a smear is to be done on certain dates she confirmed that was correct and told me that I know best … they are meant to be the experts but to be told I know best when I clearly wanted a smear test done on the proper date….."
"Great service! First GP office I have ever been too where I was not dismissed or talked down to. The staff are all lovely and efficient. I always leave feeling listened to and looked after. I would recommend to anyone looking for a GP service."
"Dr Whelehan has been nothing short of amazing. I have had trust issues with some medical professionals and reached out to the women's health clinic for help. They have been supportive and friendly. Dr Whelehan has gone above and beyond for me and I won't forget it. As long as she's there I will always feel comfortable."
"I've never left a bad review in my life! However, after several attempts to reach out and speak to professionals in this centre about my experience have been ignored I feel this necessary. The receptionist in this Doctors office is absolutely horrendous, rude and condescending. I rang for a Doctors appointment when pregnant and was refused one and not only was the information I was given by the receptionist incorrect it also put me in a very dangerous situation. I was spoken down to and got off the call in tears. I phoned another GPs office who saw me straight away and confirmed what I had been told was incorrect. Such a shame as I have never had an issue with any Doctor there however, I have since moved practice because of the receptionist. Please be aware!"
"I find it very difficult to write the following as I appreciate the essential service being provided and the treatment received from the doctors was very good however... I cannot let this go without raising it to your attention as I would hope no other women receive the same treatment my partner encountered and potentially be discouraged from partaking in a vital women's health service already fraught with reasons not to attend from anxiety to scandals. I am horrified in the contrast of the care, understanding and complete lack of empathy from Admin Staff in comparison to the Medical Staff. While the medical staff were excellent in helping my partner to understand what the results meant, what was a simple problem became extremely toxic when dealing with admin staff over the phone. My partner had to call to follow up on a referral as it was not received by the hospital. My partner, already anxious as it was, was hung up on, not listened to or given any correct information all while her referral was being delayed which made the anxiety close to debilitating. Had the admin staff actually paused for a moment, listened to what was said instead of speaking over a patient and hanging up no sooner they finish their sentence, I would not be writing this. It got so bad, I had to call on their behalf after the referral was received (a week late with no valid reason) and experienced the treatment first hand and was enraged to think of vulnerable women trying to deal with the clinic. When I was told a script would be sent to a pharmacy that day, I asked if it would be available for collection that day too, if I went in the next hour or two. I was told they couldn't guarantee, so I asked for clarification if it would be available today or if I should wait till the next day to be told that I should appreciate they are busy and was hung up on myself. I do appreciate that you are busy, I don't appreciate the tone, the attitude or the lack of common sense that I could be busy too and wanted to clarify if going to the pharmacy that day would be a wild goose chase or not. I can appreciate errors occur, what I can't stand is rudeness and bad manners. If you don't want to answer phones to patients and at least have the courtesy to listen to what they are calling for, quit."
