"Lloyds are a staple in the UK - generally overpriced parts, but you can usually lay your hands on them same day / next day - and when your in a pinch ..... Was messed around initially at the first branch (London area) where I was told it was in stock on the phone, and when I phoned up found out it was in transit in the back of a van. Advised to wait, which I did as it was only supposed to be 30 mins. Fortunately at that branch they acknowledged keeping me waiting for 1.5 hrs outside with a discount - which was pretty good and essentially got me the part at trade prices (or internet prices that I could easily find it for online - but with a 2 day wait) - decent bloke as he tried to make it right! Came to fit the part - and the chap had got it wrong - no prob, human error these things happen - but not good all things considered as its more grief / time and not in that part of the country right now. Spoke to Letchworth branch about sorting out the incorrect part (invoice clearly stated correct description - was after the lower ball joint where I had been given the upper) They obliged by ordering this in - and then calling me when it arrived a few hours later. Upon arrival I was barked at to stand outside -- again due to the Letchworth branch - for reasons unknown not being able to manage any form of COVID - social distancing with masks like the London branches or other Letchworth shops -------- so more out side waiting. Further to this I get presented with a bill to pay - on the swapped item - allegedly the difference in price between the upper and lower ball joints on my car. The one I actually need is the smaller of the two and listed for less online (which I already knew) and figured I would be if anything getting some money back - but given that I had been discounted by the guy in London a straight swap was fine for me. So bit surprised that its an uplift. Needless to say I walked away from it when the manager was arguing with me and didn't even know where in the world his parts were manufactured. Managed to find the exact same part in Letchworth in stock (German made - vs the two Chinese made parts offered by Lloyds) for £54 - without any problems ................. Bad experience here - don't expect to go through this much difficulty in parts ordering with people telling me I'm getting a deal - when whats being asked for is still £20 more than the internet price for a better branded part with all the frustration of standing around while Lloyds mis order / miss communicate stock. You can overcharge someone else thank you"
