"The staff at GWCA (Hove) have always been extremely helpful and efficient. One small problem was that over recent months there was a change of personnel in Reception. The lady who replaced the long-term receptionist of some years (who was excellent) seemed out of her depth and was rather obstructive whenever I called. She seems to have been replaced, however, by a younger woman who seems very pleasant and on-the-ball, so normal service has been resumed."

"I had Emma as my solicitor, I was a first time buyer and was not sure on parts of the process. Emma’s contact may as well have been non-existent. I was given a large amount of paperwork with 0 explanation surrounding any of it, I sent numerous emails and made a number of calls, and asked if I could speak with Emma to go through some of this paperwork or have a meeting with her - surprise surprise this did not happen. Throughout this 5 month process I had one phone call with Emma which lasted approximately 2 minutes. When I went to sign paperwork and asked if I could speak with Emma, this was again declined and her secretary was sent to me instead. I found this very unprofessional that throughout such a long process I received the bare minimum regarding any communication with my solicitor, after explaining multiple times I was confused and needed to go over some things. Other than this I had simply emails which sometimes took 1 - 2 weeks to gain a response from. I had to request some paperwork multiple times. I felt very alone and unsupported through this process, this made the purchase of my first home very stressful and I would not be looking to use this firm again. Such a shame as my mother had previously used this firm, and received great service from another solicitor who had sadly gone elsewhere."
