"Conveniently located in the centre of Malahide, at the Diamond. This popular Gentleman's Barbers is popular with locals and visitors alike. All the Barbers are excellent professionals, with the highest standards of styling. Observable adherence to hygiene standards in evidence. Prices are reasonable for the quality of service available. Only drawback is there no appointment booking service available. Thus can lead to long waits. Will be back ."
"I always use Grafton barbers but in Skerries. Its €17 for a fade cut but after work today i ran into Malahide Grafton barbers. Same cut. A dry cut and they charged me €28. Day light robbery. Be aware"
"What the hell happened to this place. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a haircut, there were only three people in front of me and two barbers working. they took around 40-50 minutes on each person, even simple cuts. The place was extremely crowded with children, no covid safety except for a supposed limit of four people waiting in the cramped basement (several parents had two children with them, there was easily 12 people downstairs including the two barbers, children unmasked running around). The place was also grubby, tools shared between barbers with not disinfectant between uses... When it was finally time to get a haircut, I asked for a fade 1 to 2, little loose on top. It took 50 minutes for one of the worst hair cuts I've ever been victim too, this cut in my regular barber takes around 25 minutes and costs €20. The sides are not properly blended leaving a point on both sides, and me looking like a triangle, the top is very short at the top back and very long at the front, with no consistency to length or thickness, large tufts of un thinned hair. I've had haircuts done by trainees that have been miles ahead. €25 euro to be robbed of time and a decent cut. Asked for hair oil at the end "what's hair oil?" AVOID here, I don't care where you go, but you're really going to regret going here. Simple cuts are too advanced for them. They were never great, but now they're just awful."
"This place has gone to the dogs. It used to be the best place a few years ago, but it now appears to be a mix of very good barbers and extremely poor barbers. If you ask for the same haircut with three different barbers, you’ll get three very different haircuts. First two cuts was with an Italian barber and they were excellent, exactly what I asked for. Third cut was awful, extremely poor fade and the 0.5 was cut way too high on the back and sides. Half of my fringe was cut off for some reason. It was the first time I said ‘holy shit’ out loud when the mirror was held up after my haircut. The barber said I was mistaken and the light was making the fade look bad. Forth cut (a chance to redeem themselves) was again poor. Not a bad haircut, but not what I asked for. I was basically given an army crew cut. That’s grand if I was enrolling tomorrow morning, but I’m not enrolling and am in fact going to a family event. Basically somewhere that I need to look respectable. €50 down the drain for the last two haircuts."
"I dont like to give bad reviews but unavoidable in this case... I used to get my haircut here for years in the past, was always great... then I moved abroad. Went back recently when I was home and got one of the worst cuts ever. The majority of staff are very good so I wouldn't advise people to avoid but beware... there is one that ruined my hair and unfortunately I won't be back. Horrendously uneven fringe and a chunk shaved out of one side."
