"This place is at least consistent. Last time (some years ago) they gave me dry bangers and mash. When I asked for gravy they said go to the bar and 'pay for some extra' Today I ordered a curry. Dreadful. The Nan ? A joiner could use it as sandpaper, microwaved old rice and bits of grease posing as 'beef' Staff walked past the table several times and saw it wasn't to be eaten. But do they care, show an interest or ask if it's ok? No. Tim Weatherspoon wouldn't give this to his dog - so why to customers?"
"My friend and I called in for a bite to eat at lunchtime. It was quite busy and we finally got a table. Ordered food ok and it came fairly quick. One thing we noticed was the vacant tables still had empty plates and glasses on, so the waiting on staff must have been busy. Anyway, meal was good and we were happy with what we had."
"It's a cool, typical English pub. It's very common to see English older people drinking beer. Good staff, the only minus is that they close early. Large selection of alcoholic beverages, and the prices are the best"
"Get what you pay for . Reasonable price . Staff friendly. No car park but there is parking near."
"First time I've been in pub. Fascinating pub opposite register office. Never seen so many different type of hats. Service not to bad for all the wedding groups in there. Didn't try food. Been in better pubs."
