"We had a terrible experience at the jive kitchen / bar and left before we ate. So we wandered down the road to find somewhere else to eat. We just happened to chance across makers house. From walking in the door it was a brilliant experience. Friendly and attentive staff and the food was really great. This will be our go to when we are in the city. "What a fantastic place this is. From the moment you arrive you feel welcome and comfortable. The menu is excellent as is the wine list. Service could not be better and the food is simply delicious. The presentation is extremely professional and the quality of the cooking is exceptional. We started with perfectly seasons patatas bravas and octopus then went on to the seafood platter which comes with lovely bread. Everything was very, very good but for me the star of the show was the fish cake which was delicately flavoured pollock and almost as light as a mousse inside. Haven't a clue how the chef did it but it will be very hard to resist it on our next visit!! A heartfelt thanks to all at Maker's House for such an enjoyable evening."
