"It is a joy to visit this shop. Everything is arranged and displayed like a gallery of beautiful artwork with handmade jewellery, quilts, wall hangings, clothes, toys, cards and much more. There is information about the cooperatives and women’s groups from around the world who make the goods with such care and skill. Everything is individual, and with so much mass produced these days it is lovely to choose a present that you know won’t be in another shop, and that will help the maker as well as delight the recipient. Friendly owner, very knowledgeable about the goods and the producers. I wouldn’t visit Brighton marina without a visit to this shop."
"I always feel it's great to buy gifts that are fairtrade and support those who work hard making things to survive. Some lovely things here to chose from. So nice to find less commercial thngs to give others."
"I bought a shirt at this shop a couple of weeks ago. It is really good, well made and fits perfectly. If you are looking for a festive shirt you could do much worse than call into the shop"
"Awesome shop. Maybe not the easiest to find as it is hidden upstairs behind the Marina but what a joy! Great fair trade products at reasonable prices. Everything from clothes, to accessories, rugs and more. The ladies running the store were very nice, they even offered us a cup of tea! Can't wait to go back!"
"A really lovely shop but the lady that runs this is extremely rude and unpleasant. I hoped she was a shop assistant who could be reprimanded and taught some customer service skills, but it seems from my research that she is the Director of the business. My elderly parents and I visited the shop yesterday. She was very demeaning to my 86yr old Dad as he asked questions about whether the door was locked or not, as it was stiff he mistakenly thought it was locked. I felt humiliated for my Dad who didn't even hear how horrible she was being to him. I wished I'd said something to her in the shop but I didn't want to cause a scene, so I thought I would post a review instead. I see that on Yell there is another review of her being extremely rude to a young child. So maybe, Barbara Wilson if that is who you are, you only like middle aged people. Shame on you for treating my Father like that. Really. Shame on you."
