"I had dinner with a large group for Christmas on December 23rd. I feel compelled to write a review because of how good my experience was. The food was beautiful, service was attentive but not overbearing. Price was very reasonable and there seemed to be plenty of time to enjoy the meal without any pressure. I would describe my experience as an old-fashioned restaurant treat. It's something that has become rarer in Dublin. For comparison I would say it is on a par with The Saddle Room in the Shelbourne. James and his team should be proud of what they have established here. Wishing them a long successful business with Rugged Lane. As all the best reviews say, I will be back. Thank you James and team"
"Pleasant venue and easy to find and access. Young and enthusiastic waiting staff. Tasty menu beautifully presented. Some issues with booking retrieval but dealt with smoothly and efficiently. Lovely sunny deck area but damp seat cushions outside (which should not be an issue but it was!) and not dealt with at all, even after it was brought to staff attention. Plan for Irish climate folks by having removable cushions! Food worthy of second visit."

"My partner and I had an excellent experience here a couple of weeks ago. The food was spectacular, staff were super friendly, attentive and knowledgable and the setting was beautiful. Also we got the wine paring which complemented the meal perfectly as you would expect. Being able to enjoy a glass of bubbly and a G&T on the balcony in the sun beforehand was also a great start to the evening! Would 100% recommend and we'll be back very soon!"
