"I was passing by here after a long hike in Ticknock and there was a big delay on M50 heading back northside so I decided to pop in for some grub!! The place is so gorgeous and cosy. Fires and stoves burning in few corners (and lovely c'mas decorations!) I was greeted by Karen and she was so attentive and welcoming from the moment I arrived until I left. I feel like its rare to find service like this recently and felt she genuinely takes pride in her work. I had the Thai Green Curry and Apple Crumble & Custard with a pot of tea as part of early bird (2 x courses for €25) and it was absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend for food/atmosphere/staff especially if you're in the area after a long walk or hike in the beautiful Dublin mountains. Will be back soon!!"
"First time here with my parents and we went for an early dinner on a Sunday. Huge car park if you decide to drive. The staff are very friendly and chatty. We sat down in the back in a nice quiet area. The menu has a great selection even though it was condensed. Both of us got the fish and chips, they were tasty. My dad got the roast and it was huge!! The wine was fantastic! The best part was the creme brulee, amazing!!"
"Best burger I had in Ireland as the other ones I tried were really dry (I’m used to having them medium rare, so finding one well done and nice is a mission) but this one the meat and the sauce were lovely. And best brownie I had in my life so soft and yummy! UPDATE: the chicken burger is absolutely gorgeous as well and I find that the brownies are better if you go for lunch than dinner, maybe cause they’re not that busy… they melt in the mouth brownie and ice cream"
"Lovely gastro pub, food is delicious. I had the salmon and it was one of the best I've had. Staff is really nice and helpful."
