"Was really excited to try here as I was a big fan of Pigeon House but was very disappointed, I felt the quality of food was very poor. Sausages and bacon really not the greatest quality compared to what is available in this industry. Bread used for eggs benedict was flat and not fresh. The rashers were so fatty. Front of house was poor, I stood waiting to be acknowledged for 5 minutes while 5 staff passed and acted like we weren’t there. Happy to wait for a table etc but at least say hello! There was an older man hosting who I found very rude and dismissive. Will not return."
"Friendly and good service. Excellent feedback on the rib eye steak and burger. Fish of the day was a generous piece of hake. Date sticky caramel/toffee dessert was fantastic. I think it's the most positive all 4 of us have been about a restaurant in years. Menu is not massive and has all the standards, few beef/steak options plus burger, chicken, fish, and 1 vegetarian dish, but the quality was very good. Prices in line with other restaurants of this type."
"Tarbh has a great atmosphere and amazing staff. The starts where good, whereas the lamb shank and the ribeye was stunning. Would very much recommend"
"Staff very friendly and sorted us out with a table quickly. Unfortunately my expectations of the food might have been too high. I ordered the streaky bacon, toast and poached egg…and that’s exactly what it was - batch bread, butter square provided to butter the bread and over cooked poached eggs. No side salad, etc. I ordered a side of sausage separately, hence why it’s in the picture (which was taken after I put it all together). Would recommend to use freshly cut sourdough boule and add a side salad."
