"Fantastic atmosphere, blazing fire to warm up after swimming. Tasty and generous breakfast. Super accomodating on a very busy morning - friendly and relaxed, with a smile. Swan analogy comes to mind, graceful in attendance, full team beavering away behind the scenes."
"Truly disappointing. My son and I decided to drop in for breakfast after going to the local market. My son had some fruit and a packaged salad with him from the market. After being seated, my son said he wasn’t hungry. The manager(?) promptly told us we can’t stay if he doesn’t order food along with me, then proceeded to rudely ask, “did you think he could take up a bench?!”. Instead of engaging I just ordered and he gave me a nasty “hmph!”. To cap it all off, the over price food we ordered was bland. The hollandaise sauce was devoid of flavor and the tomato sauce they served was cloyingly sweet. If you’re going to be that rude to people (especially kids), your food better be good… not this place. Two stars earned solely because the eggs were poached well."
"Myself and my partner went there yesterday hoping to have breakfast. When we arrived we were approached by who I think was the manager. She seemed very stand offish and we were not made to feel welcome in anyway. We politely asked for a table for two and despite seeing plenty of ‘set and ready’ tables on the café floor we were told to wait. Five minutes later, a customer who arrived after us was promptly seated. After standing around with zero follow up interaction or acknowledgment from the staff we decided to leave. Very strange experience. A shame because on the outside the cafe looks like a lovely, cosy spot."
"Worthwhile visiting for lunch / brunch. Food quality is good and prices are what you'd expect for this area. Service is kind, but not the fastest (they were busy, in fairness). Sunny spot outside was worth the 15min wait for a table. Only major downside: the portion size could've been bigger, given the price."
"Came in seeing it was crowded and most people finished their coffee. Food: Had full breakfast and lunch special sweet potato soup, food was yummy. They served food with coffee but not coffee only. Coffee: We had soy mocha and soy latte, maybe we have a different preference for coffee, it's diluted and bitter... Total disappointment in our opinions. Environment: it was comfortable but sitting near the bar inside is kinda annoying hearing all the cups and plates and utensils clanging, maybe better outside... Staff: I wouldn't say rude but not very friendly either, took a while to sit us in, and people who came and order later than us gets their coffee first."
