"Lovely food - best Thai food we have had in a long time. Especially the fried cod and coconut rice. Banana fritters were the best ever!"
"INTIMIDATING CUSTOMER SERVICE 1) Food – comparing to other Thai places in Brighton, way below, usually delicious, unique Thai flavours. 2) Customer service – that is a huge red card. I can`t express how intimidating it was, to see that woman starring at us every so often. On top of that, I slightly changed my side of table cutlery/napkins location and believe or not, when she came, she literally without any hesitation, just put everything back as it was prepared by her! 3) Interior – the only good part of this place I guess. Clean, very cosy, relaxing and taking you for a little while to Thailand. 4) Price – reasonably priced menu, but for the meals quality we have received, that was really the maximum they can expect someone to pay. Rather takeaway standards than a sit-in restaurant."
"Lovely restaurant and takeaway. Friendly staff. Food in my experience is excellent. The best coconut rice ever. Nice area - fairly easy parking. Can get very busy so ALWAYS book."
"Love this place. Great food. We’re always greeted by Niran [spelling?] who is the loveliest lady. Sometimes is open when google maps suggests it is closed so would recommend calling just in case."
"My fiancé and I were staying nearby after attending a funeral on Fri 23/09/2022. We walked into the restaurant and asked if they had a table for two. The single member of staff standing there looked at us and sniggered before she asked us if we’d reserved a table. She seemed to take great delight in the fact that we hadn’t booked a table as she turned and looked at the lady sat dining at the table next to her and said something to her in her native language and laughed at us more. We were too stunned at the rudeness to challenge her for her rudeness but, instead, we apologised for not having booked in advance . As we walked out, she called out to suggest they could put us on a corner table that she didn’t think would be of much interest to us but, even then she seemed to be mocking us so we just left. We’ve never experienced such rudeness in any restaurant before and we are still uncertain as to why we were treated like that. Our conclusion is that, for whatever reason, this member of staff was either just generally rude to customers or more likely, that she just didn’t like the look of us, either because of how we were dressed (too smart or too casual, who knows), and/or she didn’t like one or both of our ethnicity groups or the fact that we were a mixed couple of different ethnic backgrounds (I’m of Asian descent and my fiancé is white/Caucasian) . We are both Brits and neither of us, either individually or together, have ever experienced the rudeness we experienced at Ros Thai. It’s still a mystery as to why we’d be laughed at for simply walking in and asking if they had room for two. (And there were a few empty tables at 7pm that Friday). Needless to say, we would not recommend this place to anyone just based on the poor customer service received from just walking in."
