"Really great place with extremely nice owner. She is such a pleasant person, makes great coffee and not to mention the food. I highly recommend you to go there, even though the place is situated a bit off (from Swansea University Bay Campus) and difficult to find. It's worth the work!"
"The lady that runs it, Itsumi is a really wonderful woman and let me stay for a slice of cake which was delicious, even though she was closing. I'm definitely going to come back to try more food. It was hard to find but I rang her and she came out to meet me which was so sweet. I'll add pictures to make it easer to find. It's the side on the studio facing the road but was surprisingly quiet and very peaceful inside."
"Honestly, it was an absolute joy eating here. Izumi is so friendly and helpful and was amazing to chat to. She helped us find the place, even came out to locate us. The food was phenomenal and great value and the service was second to none. This little place, the food and Izumi are a real credit to home cooked Japanese food and I cannot reccomend it enough. The cake was incredible as well but unfortunately that was eaten before I could take a picture"
"This cafe is such a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Izumi the lady who runs the cafe is such a joy and so lovely and kind and welcoming ! The food is beautiful and so is the service. I highly recommend visiting, you will have an amazing time and will want to come back again and again ☺️"
"You know when the food is so good you're still thinking about it later? This was one of those places for us. We checked this place out for lunch since it mentioned it was authentic Japanese. As we went during COVID, they closed the upstairs for now but the lady owner was so friendly to greet us downstairs where there was a table. Right from the start, the Japanese lady was so inviting and made us feel welcome. The location is a bit unexpected as it's located in the Bay Studios behind the car dealership. Fortunately you can park around there for free. We asked her for recommendations and she mentioned the katsu chicken as well as the vegan don. At the end we had three dishes; the katsu chicken with tuna rice balls, katsu baguette and vegan don. It was all so scrumptious and fresh, we devoured it all. The katsu chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside as it should be. The vegan don is still on my mind. I'm not a vegan but the way she cooked the cauliflower, mushrooms, homemade pickles and sauce with rice was so refreshingly different. I would pick that again! Even though her menu was small, you can taste the quality and care that she puts in making the food. This is a hidden gem. Domo arigato!"
