"While the food looks great, I was pretty disappointed with it unfortunately. I got a Pork Belly Ramen and it lacked any flavor or substance. Felt like a bowl of water. I said it to the waiter and he said it's meant to be creamy. It wasnt. My partner had the haddock tempura and it was a little better. We also had the Rainbow sushi and it was alright. I'm not a picky eater but was just disappointed given my expectations after reading the reviews. The waiter had no life or energy. The cocktails weren't great, we had gone to the lucky duck after, which is a great place for cocktails. We also felt really rushed, the waiter would run over to us every few minutes trying to rotate the crowd. We were trying to celebrate our anniversary... Maybe it was just a bad day, different chef, the stars aligned but really hoped it would be a bit... more."
"The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. Quite knowledgeable on the dishes, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you're receiving."
"We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and very reasonable prices. great food and excellent customer service! Yamamori will be our go-to Japanese restaurant whenever we visit Dublin. Will be thanking my work colleague for recommending this restaurant to us."
"Food was tasty and portions were huge. Great choice or vegetarian option. Change of white rice for black was good idea- I felt like the member of royal family;) Next time I will order just main and dessert because with starter I was stuffed! Service was very polite and professional."
"Great food, we ordered the chefs special sushi platter thing (12 pieces of sushi - kind of on the small side) and the pork gyoza. The sushi was excellent, fresh and melt in your mouth kind of feeling. The gyozas were good but were slightly over steamed and therefore too wet. I can honestly say we did not get full, it is not nearly enough food for two people and the total came to €40 (would have been more if we didn’t order the tap water which thankfully was free). It is entirely too expensive for what it is, I mean the ramen is €20?!? You can make just as good ramen at home for way less and if you don’t want to cook go to Jervis station and there is a restaurant called Takara which does the same if not better food for half the price. I wanted to like this place but I cannot justify the prices which are entirely too high and the servers weren’t pleasant either - the one who took our order was very snobby when we only ordered the platter to share as if he was expecting more, the one who brought us our dessert menu snatched the menus back once he realised we have already paid and wanted to leave. Honestly not a great experience for the price you’re paying and you don’t even end up feeling full afterwards. Spare yourself the money and just go to Takara"
