"Stopped here to break up the journey west. Nice place to sit and enjoy our lunch (pre-packed). Unfortunately the visitor centre is closed, so no access to facilities. The bins around the area were overflowing with lots of rubbish on the ground, due the council strike."
"One of the places people forget about. If you are not from the local area and are near by then definitely worth a visit! Some beautiful scenery and walks. Great for kids, adults and let friendly."
"Great reserve with walking trails, a marina and a cafe at the visitor center. It is beautiful and the walking trails along the lake make it a welcome retreat. The one boat ramp is closed and inoperable. Take your time and walk around and enjoy nature. It was windy when we enjoyed it but the weather was sunny and beautiful. Picnic tables and barbecue area for all to enjoy!"
"Great place for a walk, a dip in the Lough and great for the dog and it's free. There are two cafes, one at the Marina and one at the discovery centre. Really clean and decently priced food."
